“It’s been three years since Hong Kong last held the Nations Cup during COVID-19,” Dr. Raymond LEUNG, president of The Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China, said. “We were facing a lot of difficulties, but with the effort and support from the government, sponsors, supporting organizations and our volunteers, we managed to stage the ‘bubble’ event. I’d say the only regret was that our citizens were not able to watch the action unfold from the stands and show their support. So, for us to stage this cycling event again, I hope the fans can show their support to the Hong Kong team by watching the Nations Cup.”

Having been training in Australia in recent months, Hong Kong cyclists Ceci LEE Sze-wing and MOW Ching-yin revealed the team had been training well. “A new acting head coach Mr. Hervé DAGORNE  took the helm following the retirement of SHEN Jinkang, and the training differs from the old days. But this has been good for us as it will inspire us to make progress. I hope that with the cheering of our fans, I can achieve my best [Nations Cup] events and fight for Olympic qualification.”
